The palace in the last picture's background is just beautiful! I was hoping to go to France this summer myself; it's a lovely country. I just read the chapter from your book as well. I feel a lot smarter after reading it.

Beautiful pictures all. I think the one of Mont. St. Michelle is the most striking (I know it is in a different post), but seeing Big Ben makes me long to return to England (I was born there but have spent only three weeks there since 1978 and none of those in London). I am jealous.

I've been reading through some of your archives and I think you have a very interesting blog, especially your idea about a unified southwestern asia, I wonder how that would change the dynamic in the world and what impact such a unification would have on the seemingly increasing religious separation and entrenchment.

I found you through the comment you left at PDS's site today, by the way.

Take care.
