It was me!

I saw a face burning bright
In the mirror
It was me
After a day’s hard work
When I retired
I saw a face burning bright
In the mirror
It was me
I was tired, fatigued and stressed
Inside me very little energy was left
But when I returned home in the evening
I saw a face burning bright
In the mirror
It was me
I could not believe it
I made faces to check
Was it me
And I saw a face burning bright
In the mirror
It was me !

I really like the positive energy in your poems.
You visit despair but always resurface.

It's a pleasure.

(found your blog by way of Crunchy Weta)

As always, a very nice poem.

Isn't it strange how sometimes the face that stares back from the mirror is our own face and yet it is so unrecognizable?

Good poem.It make to think about the inner power which we all have deep deep inside. We do not use i usually, in everyday life. In fact, we even do not know about it. This power is in deep sleep. What I think, it is a power of our original stage, soul consciousness. When I remember that I am a shining star, the spark of subtle light, eternal spiritual energy.... and i feel this.. that gives power to my tired body too, and I am fresh again. Did you ever practiced this? I did, and I felt like I was new born, full of strenth, no matter how tired I was before.
Oksana
