Those who were left behind
What to say of those
Who were left behind
In the race of time
That they are badly missed
They are badly missed
For their wit and humor
The way they said things
For those little things
Those little things
That bonded us together
Sweet words, that infectious smile
Hanging together all the time
Together all the time
Passed so fast
So we moved on
Different tracks
Tracks
That would never cross
Would never cross
Never cross

Those tracks may not cross again, but you may meet different people with same kind of wit, humour and "infectious"(i liked that adj.!)smiles!!

Hi Abhay,
What a kind philosophical poem.
I love the way you approach wisdom without being intrusive or intimidating and gentle homespun truths are often reflected in your poetry.
As always, I'm enjoying the pictures.
and thank you for all the rest.
Hi Abhay, a poem of the what ifs in life, if out paths had stayed the same would we? I have always felt that all thoes we meet leave a bit with us and take a bit with them so hopefully even if we go on seperate paths we are still connected a bit, yes? :) Lovely and I really love your pictures, this one is especially linked to your poem for me anyway, thanks I really enjoy your thoughts.
Hi Susan,
such lovely words...i am so happy to bump into you...thats for your deep understanding of others..
thanks!
Hi madd,
interesting idea! I would think about it...and I could not agree more with you that we remain connected...thats why we think of them and write poems about them...
I am so happy that our paths are crossing here and we are giving and taking a bit from each other...beautiful isn't it?! Do you have a blog?
So evocative it took me back to those nostalgic associations of my yester years.
Sincerely
Nanda

Hi Mr. Nanda,
thank you so much for your such kind words...I take it as a compliment...
best..
beautiful..
Hi Vivek,
I am so glad you liked it.
Thank you !
Loved the repetition of the last line of each stanza as the first line of the next.
Like a beautiful chain. Thank you. ^_^
"Tracks
That would never cross
Would never cross
Never cross"
And yet, when I close my eyes or when in a pensive mood they all come back , one after another, sometimes leaving a smile, other times a tear.....that I start looking for them just to convey how much they matter to me....
Indeed Tracks never cross... yet they appear and reappear in different manisfestations of the mortal's mind...
(A smile engrosses my face and leaves...before silence reasserts her hegemony once again)
I liked this poem, Abhay. It leaves the a little sad feeling, still it is nice. Life is going ahead, and it is for us to enjoy all new it gives.
